I know QTing your fish is a biggie, but was wondering how important it is to do it for the first fish you introduce to your tank.

I'm planning on buying tank raised O. Clowns from a LFS.

Thx

Mike

If only for consideration, I would HIGHLY recommend that you do so. Point in case: About a month ago, I purchased two O. clown, and within a week, both of them were dead. They had developed some kind of disease where they have these white strands of "something" hanging from them on their fins and even from the mouth. Treatment did not help either. From what I read afterward, it would appear that this was a clown specific disease. If I had introduced these clown directly in my main tank, I would have infected it with this bacteria/disease. Bottom line is, as mentioned everywhere all the time, DO quarantine new life forms for at least 6 weeks, before introducing them to you main tank. HTH
