white stuff on emerald crab

snagged a free emerald crab off the live rock shipment from the store. He has some large white cottony stuff attached to its back legs. is this like its baby eggs or is this some fungus i should clean off?

Hard to tell without a pic. I wouldn't worry. it will come off when he molts.

Now that you mention molting, it looked like the same type of stuff i had seen on sponge crabs. Probably molting. I hadn't even thought of that. It did fall off of him shortly after letting him crawl around in the bucket with some water. Thanks!
