So, while taking a pic of my tank, I noticed these dots on a cardinal tetra's tail fin:

Any ideas? Ich? Just coloration?

Ooff, i hate symmetrical dots like that.. i say ich.. almost looks too perfect though. What's in the tank? Get the heat up to 87.

Well, ich it is. Noticed some ridiculously small white dots on my 2 blue mm platies, too. Heat is currently going up about 1*F/hour. I'm currently at 80* after starting at 76* when I first posted. I'm going to let it get a bit closer to 86* and keep it there for the week. I have a decent amount of aeration, but I'm luckily off for the next two days to make sure the fish aren't gasping. Hopefully, the heat alone will knock it out. If not, I'm prepared to dose the tank. No invertebrates or scaleless fish, so I was thinking API or Tetra brand ich solutions... Any other advice?

Heat and salt.. no meds unless it gets scary in there. That's my stance anyways...
