Penicillin left a foul ordor

At the advise of salesman I used penicillin in my 55 gallon freshwater tank to get my Pacu out of a corner he'd been in for a couple of weeks. Happy to report Pacu is swimming again and tearing up his tank, however the odor in my house from the application is making ME ill. Any ideas suggestions to help get my home back to it's og smell I'd appreciate.

And any ideas on why this fish is swimming face down and looking like he's got a weight dragging him to bottom of tank?

Ok well a couple of things:

1) the pacu will outgrow the 55. They also make a lot of waste

2) penicillin can kill the beneficial bacteria

3) water changes, water changes, water changes

4) cleaning your filter parts in old tank water and using some carbon will help

Why do you have a pacu in a 55 gal???? That's worse then waffle having an arowana in a 55!!
