Need Help Identifying

I just purchased this little guy yesterday. It looks like an orange twig essentially. I have attached a picture. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

It looks like a yellow deepsea gorgonian that is in pretty bad condition. Personal opinion take it back and dont buy from somewhere that sells 3/4 livestock

I was afraid of that! I did a little more research afterwards and the only thing it resembles is a sea fan but without all the fan!
