Please ID these three
I'd like to know what the green/white finger-like things are in the top left of the first picture.
I also am wondering what the small red thing in the lower part of the picture is. It appears to be some kind of coral but I have no clue what kind. It came as a hitch hiker on my rock and has been growing for the past few months. In the other picture...I'd like to know what kind of algae that is and what will eat it. Sorry it is so blurry

I can't imagine the red thing is any kind of algae. If so it is the coolest looking algae i've ever seen. The picture doesn't show it well at all. It looks sort of like a small red tree. In the picture it may look more like algae. It really appears to be some sort of coral or sponge.

There are alot of red macro algaes. Lots of shapes and textures. It looks like red grass to me from the pic.
Since you have a better idea of texture and density, etc, here is a site for you to check. You may be able to [acronym:d96577d1bb="Identify"]ID[/acronym:d96577d1bb] your green algae as well. http://www.botany.hawaii.edu/GradStu...studyguide.htm
