No picture but my guess is a bristle worm.. Use some duct tape over where you got stung and pull it off and it should make it feel better if that is what it was..

Yup, that's a bristleworm. When you brush up against them they leave spiny thorns in your skin. Use the about suggestion to get them out...apply duct tape and remove.
