He lives with 6 panda corydora, 3 botia angelicus loaches, 2 black phantom tetras (sadly the last of the school ), 2 honey gourami, and 1 oto in a 55 gallon. He tries to act tough but none of the fish except for the tetras are intimidated by him. He never really chases and never nips. Otherwise, he is very smart and a little jumpy at times. We call him Guido.

There should be! They are one of the most gentle of the larger cichlids that I have ever encountered.

I almost decided on a pair for my 55 before I got my Apistos. Pretty neat fish!
