Attention to you people who are more computer savy (helppp)

Okay...so my computer here ran out of ink so I can't print anything. I go on my run down e-machines with windows 98 on it and i'm typing stuff up on word for my homework so I can print it out. All of a sudden, the monitor goes pitch black and won't come back on.. any ideas or am I screwed? XP

Neeeeeevermind it decided to work again ^^;

Check your power cables, the video cable to the pc, and make sure the power light is actually on for the monitor. Most times it's just a kicked cable.
