Technically it was 3 days ago, for the first time on my fish keeping journey, I was able to remove eggs from my tank, about 60 albino cory eggs from random places, they started hatching this morning.

Fed the fish. Should've done a WC but was lazy and will get it done either later tonight or after work tomorrow. Will try to at least gravel vac.

BTW, if anyone uses any of the battery-powered gravel vacs - is it me or is the Fluval one awful? I expected a whole lot more because I love their canisters but it sucks and is like $20 more than the Eheim.

And now they've accepted each others presence and are schooling

Hopefully not in the same tank as they will hybridize.

I know they will hybridize, it's the only tank I have for cichlids so the hybrids I will keep or sell on Craigslist or to some of my friends who will want them which the purebreds will be sold most definitely.

And I know the fry will be German reds bc I saw their father in breeding coloration, he was looking a lot more colorful than normal and was more aggressive

None of that is guaranteed or even close, Africans hyrbidize frequently, you shouldn't distribute hybridized Africans period, they should be culled. They will be indistinguishable as juveniles as well. I would cull if there was even a possibility. But do as you will.

Okay, will do.

Ty sir. He's a model citizen as well. There's actually a 1-1.5" Salvini with him right now that he pays no attention to, even though he made a group of 12 tiger barbs into a light lunch back in June lol

Update on the discus. The Blue Turquoise is twice as big as my speckled pigeon blood and they are schooling. Only major aggression I've seen is during feeding time and the Blue turquoise is definitely dominant. Apart from that the only other aggression is if the Speckled Pigeon blood swims under the filter it's the Blue Turquoise favorite spot in the tank and chases the little guy away.
