Iv just noticed last night that every once in awhile I’d see a tiny bubble fly to the top of tank, first I thought was my fish until I watched closer an no it’s coming from substrate. Water parameters are fine plant growth is good I just dunno what would be causing the bubbles all of a sudden, tanks been up an goin a good while now.
 
Yup nothin, isn’t coming from just 1 spot. I took tongs an moved gently the substrate in other areas around plants an bubbles came up too

Yes it’s very confusing, some I read online say it can be the root system of plants producing o2 or something. Some say get trumpet snails to mix up the substrate( which I don’t bother substrate slat all ) and prevent gas bubbles
