I have a 12 gallon long that I am looking for a good plant to make a carpet out of. I am looking at star grass but is there something else? I will include a picture of the tank to get some of you folks to brainstorm...

You can dry DHG, dwarf sag, HC, s. repens, glosso...that's all I have. The most compact would be HC but it is also the most high maintenance of the list. DHG tends to be an algae magnet, and dwarf sag is pretty cool- I have it in my planted 60g which I am also working on an HC carpet.

You will need CO2, both because most carpets are going to need it and because you have a lot of light on that tank. Also, stargrass is not really appropriate as a foreground.
