Well i bought a red tail when i first got my tank. Within 6 months he was dramatically bigger and chasing my comunity fish about. I had to rehome him for both of these reasons

Mine used to eat continuously. Was always sifting the sand for food, always grazing on biofilm on glass and plants. Then would eat the flake and other various foods at feeding time lol. I think i i had a swimming pig not a shark!!!
