High phosphates causing algae is a myth. Too much light without a sufficient carbon source is more likely the culprit.

I have super high phosphates in my tank. Not a single bit of BBA though

I've got that going on as well. Phosphates can be high or low but algae doesn't take over my tank.

I do have some BBA making a come back which I think is because I have reduced the glut dosing and the co2 injection seems to be not quite working well.

At one point the BBA got so bad in my tank that the MTS had tufts of it on their shells. I increased the glut and stayed consistent with it (along with consistent CO2) and this has helped greatly. I still see some attached to individual EcoComplete granules and I siphon those out during PWCs. When it appears on the DW I treat it with H2O2.

Key to maintenance is little and often. If i spy any algae i deal with it there and then rather than letting it get a hold

I'm going to take that approach for my new year's resolution.

Pretty neat.. looks like something on my sushi platter. Will they hatch or how is breeding these guys?

Lol. I hope they hatch. I've never had egg layer lay eggs. It's pretty exciting and I can't wait to see if any make it. I'm only going to help out once they survive hatching and a couple weeks after that.

Clyde, sure can. If they make it you can have one just pay for shipping.

Just planted a few new plants, try to figure out which ones. Please excuse the scratches on the tank, that's what happens when you get a craiglist special.
