I know, but I made my wife a promise I would let her wrap them for Xmas, but she thinks it's only one. ;)

I keep the blues on all the time. Makes the tank seem less yellow.
Brookster, you have room for one more on there! Jk of course. That would be a lot of light; not sure if the reactor would keep up with it.

For those of you still holding on, I have a few updates. First I've been pretty embarrassed since the rescape. I've been plagued with BBA and it's been winning. Then Xmas finally came round and I put on my planted +s. I plugged then right in and was impressed with their brightness. Having both lights no really intensified the algae. So I turned the lights off for a few days and just over dosed glut. No light no ferts. And tonight I finally did some maintenance. Oh also finally did a phosphate text and my phosphates were through the roof. So I'm guessing this might be my algae problem, and suggestions? Enough of the rambling here some pics for your viewing pleasure

New scape is looking good man! I'm dealing with mad BBA in a tank that catches light from my front door. Thought about dosing excel but down for other ideas.

High phosphates causing algae is a myth. Too much light without a sufficient carbon source is more likely the culprit.

I have super high phosphates in my tank. Not a single bit of BBA though

Thanks Fisher it's coming along. Have you tried h2o2, it works pretty good for killing algae?

Thanks Skelly! I figured the high PO4 was a myth after doing some research last night before bed. How would you go about bringing my tank to a balance state? I'm only going to run my lights for 6 hours until I get the algae under control and I will up the co2 to 3 to 4 bps. Of course I'll continue regular maintenance and fert dosing.

Definitely knock lights down to 5-6 hours until your algae has resided. Remember any changes you make need to be gradual over 7-10 days so that plants can adjust to the changes

No not right now I have them offset from each other with only one hour together.
