I stumbled across AA a few days ago and finally decided to get an account. Currently here is what I have set up. 29 gallon freshwater. Basic gravel substrate, Aqueon filter, fluvial 100w submersible heater. Current fish: 4 tiger barbs, 3 rosy barbs, 1 rosy glass barb, 1striped peacock eel and a rubber lipped pleco. Currently have a java fern and a stalk of the same plant. The tank has been up since mid-January. Looking and reading on here, I want to attempt a sand substrate. How has this worked for others? My profile pic was taken before plants and fish were added. I'll try and get a few more current pics up.

I like the look of sand, more natural. It can be quite a mess though. Everytime I move around things my tank gets all cloudy for a few minutes until I xan see enough to continue. I'd definitely recommend it though! I also wanted to try pebble/grvel/ sand mixed up
