Yellow-tailed Congo Tetras
I just picked up a small school (6) of Yellow-tailed Congo Tetras (Alestopetersius caudalis) to go in a grow-out tank with some of my smaller bichirs. The picture does not do the tetras justice...they are iridescent like the Congo Tetra (Phenacogrammus interruptus) and flash metallic hues as the light plays on them.
![]() Oh...by the way....NEVER underestimate the appetite of even a small bichir. This is what happened to the smallest female tetra within an hour of being introduced. ![]() WHOOPS!!!!!!

I have never seen Yellow-Tailed Congo Tetras before. They are beautiful fish. I have 7 of the regular Congo Tetras and I think they just keep getting better looking all the time.
