I just picked up a small school (6) of Yellow-tailed Congo Tetras (Alestopetersius caudalis
) to go in a grow-out tank with some of my smaller bichirs. The picture does not do the tetras justice...they are iridescent like the Congo Tetra (Phenacogrammus interruptus
) and flash metallic hues as the light plays on them.
Oh...by the way....NEVER underestimate the appetite of even a small bichir. This is what happened to the smallest female tetra within an hour of being introduced.
