Cash in the attic

So my father passed away about 10 years ago and today we found a random bag of papers in the attic from him. In it I found $300 worth of savings bonds. Woo!! Looks like my mini nano tank begins tomorrow. So I'm turning my 10 gal into a nano tank. Tomorrow I will be buying my lr and live sand. I will also be investing in a small attachable LED light. Just a few questions. Do i need to buy special pre-mixed water to start? Do I need extra salt? Will evaporation be more common with a closed lid or open lid?

Just buy your premixed saltwater from your Lfs to start. And I would say leave the top open for better gas exchange which is healthier for the fish.

Yeah thought it was a slick idea since that's what it's used for is flourecent lighting panels in ceilings. Allows all the light to still go threw.

I just bought the live rock, live sand and pre mixed water today. The Journey Begins :)
