Just joined and wanted to say hi !! I've had aquariums off and on since I was 10 (40 now). I got started again by building a pond and needed a QT tank. One thing led to another and I wound up setting up my 65 gallon tank. Currently I have 3 koi and a goldfish in there. I'm considering getting another tank for salt and wanted to join a forum to learn more and share my interest with others.

Hi, welcome!
Before you jump into salt, have you considered Mbuna, Haps and Peacocks? They're just as colorful as saltwater fish and you can get more of them into a tank than you could saltwater fish. Same general setup- a rock scape. Except no corals .

I did consider cichlids for a time but just enjoy the look of saltwater species.
