New here and to aquarium keeping

Hi all. I'm new to keeping an aquarium so I figured I'd better get as much info about it before I start and this looked like a good site. I recently bought a 36 gallon tank and am currently in process of setting it up. Would really appreciate any advice about good set ups and FW fish for beginners.
