Hi all. My name is Rick. I have been out of the hobby for years and have been considering getting back into Salt in a small way. I kept a 75gal reef tank for years. My Oceanic tank had a full load of live rock, fish, and corals with a 20 gal bio ball filter, protein skimmer, UV unit and the like. I was self employed and after some time found it burdensome to maintain so I sold it. That was 15 years ago.

No that I am older and no longer self employed I have been considering getting back to it. I have several ?s.

1.Anyone have experience with the Red Sea Max systems?
2.Are there battery back ups now for power outages?
3. Are modern systems stable enoeph to leave for a few days vacation with a friend to feed only now.?
