10 gallon filter for 55 gallon tank - Aquarium Advice

im using a 10 gallon whisper for my 55 gallon tank
i had a big problem over the weekend and had
to transfer my fish over to my new tank
my emperor 400 is coming sometime this week

how bad is using the 10 gallon for now ?

It's better than nothing, but not nearly enough for a tank that size. Assuming you have not added any new fish, and you feed very sparingly, you should be able to get by until the new filter arrives. I would keep a close (daily) watch on ammonia/nitrite levels though and be ready to do a water change if those levels start to rise.

it should be fine untill later this week just do a water change every other day.
