Skimmer.

I have a 90g tank. About two months old now. I have a hang on the back prism skimmer. I was wondering how long does it take to actually see build up of scum in the cup? I am not sure if it is working properly.

Anywhere from a couple days to a week or so depending on how wet your skimming it should need to be emptied.

the skimmer make bubbles thats how it fills the cup up. if you skimmer is not producin bubbles then you have a problem you need to make an adjustment if you can on that skimmer.

Made an adjustment to a knob that I didn't even know I could and started getting bubbles at the bottom of the cup. I guess over time more bubbles will come and will over flow into the cup?
