My 50g long is starting to get a little cramped for my liking so I spent the weekend looking for a new tank. I had "thought" I found a 180g and the seller even verified the measurements (72x24x24). I get a couple buddies and drive out to pick it up and he didn't even bother to measure it . It was a 150. Still a great tank but not at the price he was asking.

So I went with this tank instead. It's a 125g (72x18x22) and as a bonus the wife likes this stand much better than the 2x4 stand the other one had. I scrapped off the ugly blue background and I'm in the process of painting it black. If all goes well the second coat will go on tonight and this tank should be set up tomorrow.

Filtration is my Aquatop CF-500UV that is on my 50g.. and a new Fluval FX5 :brows:.

My current stock list is:

1x 9" fire eel
2x dwarf guarami
6x 1.5 - 2.5" clown loaches
6x 2-3" australian rainbowfish

I ordered another fire eel and a jaguar catfish earlier today.

Anyway.. some pics. More pics to come as I assemble everything.

I call them a 50 breeder but I think it's technically a 50 long. I have two in an over under setup.

I know it's off topic but I noticed you have a lift in your man cave and dirt bikes. Gotta love a well stocked garage

A little update.. the LFS didn't order the Fire Eel or Jaguar catfish.. It's near impossible to get the LFS's around here to follow through.

The fish are absolutely loving the extra room. Even the fire eel comes out more. I added some more fish so my current stock list is:

1x 9" fire eel
2x dwarf guarami
10x 1.5 - 2.5" clown loaches (added 4)
10x 2-3" australian rainbowfish (added 4)
1x 5.5" Hoplo Catfish (added)
3x Rubber Lip (Bulldog) Plecos

Anyway.. some more pics ;)

Water change time.. 50% WC's once a week. Fluval FX5 on right and Aquatop CF-500UV on left. Between the two the tank has a "rated" flow of 1450gph.

Well I lost the fire eel. It tried to escape through the outlet of the FX5 and he got stuck and died.

The updated stock list is:

10x Clown Loaches
10x Australian Rainbow Fish
2x Dwarf Gourami
3x Rubber Lip Plecos
1x Hoplo Catfish
1x Syno. Hybrid

As for the tank I added some moon lights :)

And also added this little guy. It's the Hybrid Syno from Petsmart.
