Tank mates

I have a tall 52 gal (34 wide 32 high by 18 deep). Our water here is a little hard but not too bad. I want something colorfull and that will get decent sized (5-9"). What to get. Help me out folks

A leporinus is nice. I have one and right now he is a around 2 at about 7" their profile does say they grow to 12" though.
