oh also is that a flower pot coral in the center there on the sand?

thats lookign awesome, i love how it looks and the corner bow front is just awesome. pain in the rear to light though, atleast finding one is hard. i resently just found one for mine and it was more of a better price then anything :p but it'll still work

Thanks guys, yes that is a flower pot, heard they are hard to keep but iv never had any problems. Although I keep the tank very clean and do pwc ever week to two weeks depending on the test results, my clowns are hosting it atm and doesn't seem to bother it, cant wait to get a bigger tank in the future because I'm so limited on what I can have due to my tank only being 175l.

Flower pot coral feed on particulate matter, which is why the tanks they are most successful in don't have skimmers. If you're feeding them cyclop eez or what not they shouldn't starve, but keep in mind if they don't eat adequately they will eventually waste away.

Looks awesome though. I think some blue zoas or mushrooms would look really nice in there by the way.

That's useful to know, I feed live plankton ever few days, and iv been trying to find blue mushrooms but they are hard to find in england, I'm using a v2 hang on protein skimmer, not the best but seems to do the job ( wouldn't advise any one to buy a v2 protein skimmer due to it being so bloody noisy) Iv read alot of people have the same problem. I'm thinking about adding another power head ( circulation pump ) because I'm getting algae patches on my glass, my tank is well matured now so that's the only thing I can't think of that's causing these patches ( dead spots ), can I put to much flow into this size tank? I'm using 1x 900 l/h, 1x 3000 l/h
