could we get rid of the time limit after you make another search?

or the time limit after you post, and then want to edit it?

but my concern is really the search engine

thanks

No. The features you mentioned were part of the site's upgrade. The time-out was specific to deter spamming and the search was to improve the overall functionality of the site.

In regard to posts, you can edit an existing post if a quick correction is needed.

As bill said in the forums where we permit editing you can edit a post right after making it. There is little use in making a second post right after the first 99% of the time. The timmer on making another reply stops once a reply to your post is made.

The search time limit is to detur DOS searchbots who's only objective is to bog down sites by running hundreds of simultanious searches thus doing a sort of Denial Of Service.
