I definately want another twiggy! Think I'm going to see how many fry we get as I would like to keep some so may leave getting any more until we see how the fry do. Thanks for the advice x

Maybe put some more skirt tetras (3 or 4 more) and 2 female mollies

I personally wouldn't get the mollies because, 1. They are brackish water fish, 2. They can get up to 5" ( I've experienced it ). But I do agree with getting more bst.

Are twig catfish hard to keep? I've read about them on petsolutions and liveaquaria and they say they are shy, sensitive, etc. I really like them but I'm just afraid they are gonna die easily?

I've had twiggy for a month now and she's doing fine. I read that they are shy and won't compete for food so it's common that they starve. I have algae pellets and wafers which I drop in for her at feeding time. She can be quite active wiggling across the tank - definitely not the most agile of creatures! She has definitely grown in size since getting her so must be doing something right.

Cool. Does she hide in the day?

Got the bogwood and the stone hides today. Twiggy is usually on the side of the tank or on one of the plants where I struggle to see her. There have been times where I can't find her at all!

I love that bogwood and stone hideaway! Yeah, I've heard that twigs can be really good hiders ;).

I'm glad we got her! My other half wanted a plec to start with but the shop said we weren't allowed to get one as our tank was too small. So twiggy it was!

Your lfs actually don't allow you to buy a pleco? Can you get a pic of twiggy when she comes out? I've only seen stock photos because I don't know anyone with a twig catfish until now. :D

They wanted to no how long the tanks been set up for, size if it, what I've already got, if I've got filtration and heater, what the temperature is.

The second pic looks like she is dead :ROFLMAO:. How many inches is she? She looks really nice though btw ;).

Haha! At first I had to check she was still alive, it's brilliant when she is in the glass you she uses her mouth to sucker her way across the tank it's funny as! I'd say she's about 4-5 inches at the mo

Went to the shop today to get another catfish and here he/she is! Too young to find out what sex it is it yet.
