anyone?

My molly is pregnant and wont have her babies any suggestions?
its been more than a month now

Yes, Wait. It will happen. A watched pot will never boil. Same with fish, ( only no boiling  )

It will occur and you may w miss it if you have a lot of foliage.

I have 4 mollies that have given birth a few times.

Often we see tiny little fry poking their heads out of the java moss or the numerous plants making up the thick jungle like scaping.

Anyone in the Denver area need some Mollies?

I bought frozen dried brine shrimp is that ok to use? I'm not sure of the differance but my mollies, guppies and angels like it as a treat. Now I give the angels tropical flake and sometimes blood worms. I google allot. The lfs don't seem to know much.

freeze-dried brine shrimp doesnt work as well, but it still works. try some live mosquito larvae.

Lol yeah I understand :p

Urmm ok i have 3 mollies that are pregnant but all at different stages
Maybe I need some thick plants like Java moss but I do have a 2 or 3 strands of hornwort plants floating in the tank so is that alright?

That should be fine. The Molly/mollies will give birth when they are ready.

Ok but is it normal for them to hold their fry for more than a week and a few weeks?
Also what is the longest they will hold their fry till?
And is there anything I can do to speed up the process and encourage them to drop?

I've had my mollies for quite a whole now but I think just now they are pregnant
What you mean your guppy was pregnant for 5 months and then gave birth?

Also is there anything I can do to speed up the process and encourage them to drop?

My guppy had a black gravid spot and a HUGE belly for five months before she dropped.

Guys finally my Molly has dropped it's fry just now it was so unexpected!
Sooo excited :)

So far i have put them in a breeding net and I count about 10 so far and I have also added some hornwort plants which they can eat off.
I'm planning on feeding them tomorrow so how would I go about doing that?

Live bearer fry do well on BBS, liquified egg yolk from hard boiled eggs, crushed flakes, and other small foods. Drop it in, they will probably eat it!

Hooray!!!! Congrats!!

Again, you want to breed but your not to read the thread wiggles at last???? This has all the answers to questions you will have. Seriously you need to take a step back, you are asking other people to help and give you answers because your to lazy to read the 132 pages? Seems a bit selfish and unfair to ask us for advice and do the research for you when you have it available and know where to find your answers. I hope other people agree with me on this and also suggest they do some of their own leg work.

This is a live bearer thread with no similarity. Your rudeness was and is uncalled for. Live bearing fish are totally different with different needs from egg layers, as well as free swimming fish are born so there is absolutely no need for the super intense care of wigglers. I recommend you are not so quick to reprimand everyone else. There is no rule against asking for help.

I do apologize if I came off as being rude. I have followed this thread, and a couple that this person has asked questions in. I have replied and made suggestions, as several others have, it does get a bit frustrating to see the same question written 3 different ways, they seem to be wanting a different answer than we have given. I too find it very exciting when my fish are ready to drop their fry, I also realize and accept nature must take its course and it'll happen when the fish is ready.
I have followed this thread and other threads this person has been in. My suggestion to read and educate him or herself has been mentioned by a few people. Yet the OP flat out states they don't want to read an entire thread ( which would answer ALL their questions), says something. This person is anxious and excited to breed but they are going to find themselves in to deep without learning. They want to breed angels in a 5 gal- they need to learn, if they knew about the fish they would know they couldn't squeeze 1 angel in a 5 gal. Yet they ask this question in different ways to get a different answer. The fact that they said they are not willing to read a thread because it's to long, is in fact unfair to those of us who try to help. Read the questions they have on livebearers and tell me they are prepared for an angel who will lay hundreds of eggs, assuming they can find a breeding pair.
I stick to my statement to read and research, if I came off as rude I do apologize that was not the intention, it was frustration. Please to the OP be willing to read and research you will learn a lot and it makes more sense than a quick reply here.
