new bettas I decided to get from main chain to rescue them although not as bad as another main chain where I got my newest male betta.

Ragnar is getting to be big, handsome and muscular (and camera shy!) I'm delighted his slight ammonia burns have cleared up and he looks amazing!

Which divided tank would be good for two bettas

A 10 gallon divided in half makes a great home for two bettas! Look up diy betta tank divider to see how to divide the tank with craftstore mesh. That's what I have, I just recently brought home two little petco bettas I couldn't resist rescuing. Poor things were swimming in such dirty water in their cups, but now they are all perked up and exploring everywhere.

I though for sure I was going to get pygmy corydoras in this tank, but then I went to petco yesterday and saw these two beautiful little boys and had to rescue them.
They are both as yet un-named. I'm just going to let the names come to me as I get to know their little personalities. The white one is an elephant ear betta and the black/turquoise/red one was labeled a Halfmoon doubletail (not so sure about the Halfmoon part). The second one does not want to be photographed while the white one just loves coming up to me when I'm by the tank and posing for me.

Thank goodness you rescued them!

I know, they are so adorable! The white one is an explorer and I swear he has found and nipped off every loose leaf on his side of the tank. The black and red one keeps flaring at and swimming against his reflection in the side of the tank, I hope gets used to it I don't know how to stop him from reflecting in the tank side.

Get him a tank background. Over time most give up. Others don't. Mine absolutely hates the thermometer display!

I have a black background on the tank, it's the side and front of the tank that he sees himself in

It's a black garbage bag, it's kind of ugly. What's the point of having a tank if you cover the sides and can't see in? I've only had him for a day now so I'm going to give him some time to see if he'll get used to it and calms down. If not then I'll work from there

he looks like a feather one look up tail types for bettas that might help you figure it out. but the half moons have a subspecies known for their feather like tails.

In my LFS they are now putting in "Betta Stations". It's about 25
1 gallon tanks with filter and air stone. They are all connected. Keeps them healthy and happy. NO cups!!!!!! Makes me happy to see that
Petco and Petsmart are adopting these also. First saw it in Private Local FS.
