I don't know what just happened there, but I wanted to ask what size Nuvo that is? I recently saw a 16 gallon on Craig's list with all the bells and whistles for $350

I've been tempted to try an AIO nano and the Nuvo looks like a good choice, of course I may just end up paying my bills instead and just keep chipping away at finding balance in my 150

In an effort to vary my tangs diet I am adding kale to the nori I usually feed. I freeze it first to break down the cellulose and they love it. It looks like kale has more nutrition than romain lettuce, but not as much as nori. But the tangs love the freshness of the kale.

Greg, I gotta laugh regarding kale ... I'm good friends with some zoo keepers at the San Diego zoo and for years it seems like a majority of the animals that we see have kale in their dinner plate due to its nutritional value etc ,..problem is that we've never seen anything even attempt to eat it ,...its been a running joke with us for years !...Maybe tangs are different !! My scopace tang loves nori so maybe I'll try some kale one day,... Thanks for the suggestion.

kale update ... My scopace tang will readily attack any nori that is put on its clip within seconds and will come back time after time to wreck havoc on it until it's gone ,... So as an experiment I bought some kale and prepared it according to greg's instructions,... Once it was put onto the clip the tang was very curious about it but very cautious in its approach ,..it'll come right up to it and back away ,..finally it took a little nip,..well,...an hour or so later 99.99 % of the kale remains on the clip and the tang has lost all interest in it ,.. Like in my previous post ,nothing seems to eat kale in San Diego., mammals, reptiles or fish. :-/ ...... Kale anyone ?

I just put a strip of nori next to the kale .... The scopace tang went bananas and is ripping the nori to pieces

It takes a while as tangs are chickens. Mine eyed the fresh greens for a while before daring to take a nip, especially if they haven't been introduced to it before.

At the start of round three the scopace tang is agitated attacking the nori over and over again ,..the nori, beaten and tattered is just a shell of its former self ,.. The kale , doing the " rope a dope " is unscathed un marked and no worse for wear .
One must remember that this is a ten round fight so we'll just have to see what happens in the later rounds,... Stay tuned

Now you could keep a lot of tangs in this tank.
