Don't you add extra micro's as well?

A little bit, i dose 2x macro and 1.25x micro. My tanks kind of let me know when they've had enough micros. The solution solidifies into white flakes upon contact with tank water.. usually 4-5 days after wc.

Thats weird about the flakes, are you dosing phosphates at the same time and they are reacting?

I dose micro and macro at the same time, doesn't matter in which order.. someone explained it to me in tpt. It's something to do with iron saturation and science and stuff. Way to smart for my simple process..

I am doing 1x macros and micros. Macros have extra phosphate. This has been working for me so far. Dose at the same time, sometimes at opposite sides of the tank. I follow this with glut. Was gone a few days so I gave the tank a 1.5x dose before I left.

I dose standard EI mix. My entire weeks macro and micro all at once. 50% water change weekly

Just did another 60% WC going to do one more next week. That should finish flushing the tank from my modified dosing. Going to bring the KH down to 3 and adjust the hardness with only calcium. Im going to leave it at about 5-6

In all seriousness in my fluval 306 i am running the prefilter sponge, then a coarse sponge, in the 1st baskrt the water hits I have a medium density sponge, in the second basket I have the polishing pads under carbon bags, and the final basket is loaded with biomedia.

I went with the Eheim 2217 it was on sale and my LFS stocks the filter pads etc if I ever need it. Oh, and it was on sale! ?

Thinking the intake in the back left, spray bar on the back wall of the tank under the water surface of course! I also have the inline co2 diffusor and a inline uv sterilizer.

Is a spray bar necessary? Seems like that should work though

Id prefer the spray bar to get more flow over the entire tank. I think a power head would be too powerful.

Sounds fine to me. As with any setup, you will have to study the flow pattern to see what works best in your tank in terms of circulation and waste pickup.
Inline CO2 and everything...you are all set. I still have a ceramic diffuser and use the current from one of the HOB filters to distribute the mist. But the DCs are the color somewhere between a key lime pie and lemon merengue pie so it's good.

I am using the stock filter output and have only found one deadzone, right under the output. Intake is lower roght hand side and output is upper left hand corner pointed towards front glass. I have a 29 gallon tank.

Thanks for the check brookster

Im going to need to give my pogo and L.aromatica a trim before i put it in. I still plan on using my hydro in the left hand corner. Ive kept my dc straight yellow the past 2 day to see what the plants do.. Fish dont seem to mind!
