I don't think I did any one thing, she just looks stressed all the time? Maybe it's just how she looks, has since I got her. She eats like a pig and is always at the glass..

Uhh ohh, i hope I didn't reccomend that along the way, I hate it.. it's such a pita to plant in. Seems to grow plants ok but I do hate it..

Well thanks to my daughter getting a flat and having to run out and help her I haven't opened it so I can return it. What do you recommend? I'm not going hi tec, no co2 or anything like that. And no Brookster you didn't recommend it because like an idiot I didn't ask.

Eco complete is available at petco I believe, that'd be best for low tech.. i mean.. if you're going crypts, anubias and moss the flora will be ok... i have it in my high tech 5.5 and dhg is going bananas.. it's just really really frustrating to plant in, crap gets stirred up so easily and it makes me insane seeing 4 month old poo and detritus released into my small tank..

Petco carries the ecco complete lava substrate not the pelleted soil so it contains no nutrients, has a larger grain like floramax and acts the same as floramax holding absorbing nutrients for plant use. I'll be trying ST International's aqua soil it has a 2-4 mm grain size or the Fluval substrate which is a little bigger than the aqua soil, but still smaller than Eco.
