- if searching for the right second-hand aquarium on ebay you start at “+/- 5 miles”, and 4 hours later it's “anywhere in UK”. By the end of the day you realise something bigger may be better so you start all over again. [And think it's weird that the seller’s selling the tank ‘because they’ve upgraded.’ Who’s the weirdo?]

- I used to live in the Alps so if I was going near the LFS I'd pack a handwarmer for ski gloves in the car, or a hot water bottle with warm water in... just in case.

- I know that on more than one occasion I've spent far too long trying to convince a friend that a particular fish has a great personality.

lol, that's what I need I'm at the top floor of a three story house with 5 fish tanks in my room.

A fishnerd is some who in all there free time in and out of school research fish and trying to work fish into everything they do. I am working on a technology project that needs to be built out of recyclables and I am making a Betta tank out of a washed 1 gallon clear jug. I just have to figure out decorations made out of recyclables.

You go to the pet store and you look at decorations you don't need and just want.... or you buy it anyway even though you don't need it and have to figure out where to put it, and sometimes something else must come out of the tank....

We bought two new decorations (1 for our 20g 1 for our 5g female betta's tank) yesterday, 1 needed, 1 we really like, and yes, something had to come out lol. Will probably put that in our 10g tank.
