Garfy... fork em over! Haha.. i really hope my lotus turns out like that gillie.. great pattern. Those rn are flying low.. gonna get punted by a pisto at that altitude.

That one is different than mine. I have a Nymphaea lotus 'zenkeri' and yours is Nymphaea rubra. Rubra has narrower more arrowhead shapes leaves, but the reds are awesome.

are you just using PFS with root tabs? Or is that something else? I can't even keep swords alive in mine.




It's petco sand, I laid down about 1/2" of aquasoil peppered with osmocote underneath.

light Is limiting factor in this tank.. not.for.long though!

If it has a good root system you can pluck the plant and plant it normally. Then replant the bulb half in the substrate and it will continue to produce plants until the bulb is spent.

Brookster keep an eye out for Nymphaea sp santarem dwarf and let me know if you find any, I NEED that plant.
