Great find! I just paid $350 for my 38gallon and stand at Christmas....
It might be fun to go fresh, with plants like Brazilian sword, pothos growing out of the top
I am an American living in Israel so keep in mind my selection is different here.
The stores have mainly freshwater.
And mostly cichlid varieties other than the standard guppies, placo, cats, etc.
I've seen some huge cichlids, around the size of a dinner plate.
Many stores have freshwater snowflake morays and fire eels.
I'm thinking of avoiding cichlids altogether unless I can get a very docile one.
I'm thinking one eel.
One Betta.
A dozen or so guppies or mollies, maybe tetras.
Six baby placos.
3-4 cats.
3-4 cleaners like Siamese algae eaters.
Maybe a couple of snails.
Maybe a larger docile centerpiece fish.
Live plants are hard to find. So will probably go fake.
And I have a beautiful rock to use I found in the desert.
Any suggestions as to type of filter?
Internal or external?
Size and power?
Heater?
Lighting?
Air pump? (I want as silent as possible)
I would like to do a white and black sand thing.
