My little betta fish died this week. :-( I've decided that I want to try a different type of fish in my 10 gallon. What should I do to keep from needing to start the cycling process over?
I don't know why the betta died. He was only a year old and I got him as a baby. I'm guessing that we stressed him out. My husband fed him while I was away and I came back to a tank that was full of uneaten food. He really wasn't the same after that.
Should I do a full cleaning of the aquarium in case there is disease in the tank? Do I need to put a little food in the tank to keep the good bacteria going? I don't think I'll get any more fish for at least a week or so.
