[Atlanta, GA] 29Gal Reef Aquarium For Sale

Hey All - I have been maintaining by 29gal Reef aquarium for over a year and loved it. Unfortunately I started traveling every week, long distances for work. I cannot commit to the required weekly water changes. I think someone else deserves this beauty. (I'm keeping my 55gal FW though...

    New fish!

Great pics! Yea he is a lawn mower Benny aka sailfin Benny aka algae Benny. Very awesome fish and very happy with him this far. I don't realize they will actually eat hair algae, that is a major bonus for me. And he swims like a ninja, so who can complain!

Had my tank up for over a year and could never decide on what fish I would get to join my 2 clowns and bicolor dotty back. I finally decided on this little bugger...

    Sponge with Tentacles on Coral?

Thanks! Seems like a vermetid snail. From what I read best method to control population is through minimal feeding and water changes. Both of which I already do. I only have about 6 of them in my tank and I read you can remove them like you would remove aiptasias. Lemon juice and a needle

    Sponge with Tentacles on Coral?

I have some weird sponge looking growth on some of my corals. Whenever there is debris floating in the aquarium, such as when I do water changes, they shoot out some very thin tentacles. Here are some pictures without the tentacles, any idea what they are and are they bad? The corals don't...

    Atlanta Fish Shop

Yup, I've grown to like Aquarium Warehouse a lot. Prices are better than I thought and the SW selection is great. Just make sure you QT your fish and drip your coral. One time I got some coral with aptasia.

Plant growth on coral and rock?

Ironically I just figured out by blue hermits picked at and ate some of the polyps! I'm wondering if they were picking at it because of that algae. Either way, I think I'm going to get rid of the hermits, snails and 1 starfish is plenty of a CUC for me.

Other Options for T5 31W bulbs?

I have a Coralife T5HO 4x31w fixture over my 29gal SW aquarium. I will need to be replacing the bulbs soon. Are there any options for bulbs that fit this size fixture other than Coralife? I measured and it seems like the bulbs are around 27.75"?

Plant growth on coral and rock?

All - Recently I started to notice a spread of what looks like a plant. It is on a rock that my mushrooms are growing on and it is growing on my polyps. I noticed that my polyps did not open at all today and the mushrooms are a bit smaller. I don't think this is an aiptasia as when I put a...

    silicone

Crap! So I just used GE Silicone II on my DIY Aqua clear 70 refugium. It said it was non-toxic, but now after reading this and doing further research I don't want to risk it. Do you guys think I can just remove the silicone from the refugium, replace with aquarium safe silicone, and put back...

    White Sponge on Coral harmless?

From research and pictures I've looked up around the forum, I think I have a white sponge growing on my soft polyps. Can you guys confirm this is a sponge? Is it harmless? The picture I took was right when the lights came on which is why you do not see any of the polyps. When the lights are...
