How to remove and store live rock/sand for future use...

I've been thinking about doing something along those lines. So if I just keep them in a trash can with a power head that's all I have to do? Would I have to change the water at any point? What about the sand? I'm guessing I could do the same?

How to remove and store live rock/sand for future use...

I recently purchased a new aquarium with original intentions of transferring everything over "live". Unfortunately, life has gotten in the way. Basically I'm in the middle of moving. I have to shut down my old tank, but won't have the new one up and running for at least a few weeks. So...

    Help with my Diatom Algae...

I think my flow is good. 2 koralia 750s and mag 7 return. For a 75 gallon tank It only appears on the sand in front of the rocks. I never see it in the back or under the rocks which I assume is because there's limited light there.

    Help with my Diatom Algae...

I have a 75 gallon fowlr which has been up and running for over a year. I've had problems with diatom algae for a long time. There was a couple months where my daylight lamp broke and I was only using blue/red lighting. During that period there was no algae. A couple weeks ago I got a new...

    Any idea what this is?

It just surprised me is all. I really never had any hitchhikers with my liverock. Hard to believe it took 16 months for him and I to run I to each other. I've got an octopus in that tank so you made me a bit nervous about the water parameters. But everything checked out alright. So who...

    Any idea what this is?

YouTube That's better. You have to watch in 1080p or at least 720 to make anything out. He's definitely moving. You can see a glow run access his body

    Any idea what this is?

He's long gone now lol. First time I've seen him in 16 months Did you watch the YouTube video? That link gives a lower resolution version for some reason. But if you watch it from the YouTube site directly it's 1080p. You can see it pretty well on there

    Daily diatom algae??

Im dealing with what I think is diatom algae. It's brown and covers the rocks and sometimes the sand. It brushes off very easily. What's weird is that every morning it's gone. With the lights off all night it goes away but within a couple hours of turning the lights on it comes back. I'm...
