its a 55g long its 4' long so, well... i dont know but the current owner has it in a 55g with very little problems and i hope when i get it in a planted tank it will be fine
umm im pretty sure its full grown at the moment as it is, ...almost a foot long (well full grown for an aquarium) will a 55g be ok or do you think it will need a bigger tank? because if it may need to be bigger im afraid that its out of my reach (financially) to get a bigger tank. well hope not...
thanks those links helped a lot (but were slitely controversial) some said to have them in densely planted tanks wile some said to have them in open water so that leaves me with just one question but otherwise im good!

well im about to "adopt" a fish tank from someone who can no longer take care of it. it seems to be a freshwater barracuda and i cant find much info on the species but was wondering if anyone knows anything usefull on the subject as the tank is farely bare and id like to fix it up a bit as well...

hello i havent been on here in forever had way to much stuff to do and have been in the process of moving so hi. alright im starting a new aquarium i plan to make it a paludarium using peat bricks for the land section i was wondering how drastic the pH change will be with a large amount of peat?
first yes im adding LOTS of plants to it still.
yes the driftwood is new but the color is from the peat abstract i added to the tank
(more natural enviroment for the amazon fish i have and will be adding)
i already have two twig catfish and 6 silver hatchet fish but want to know if i should get cockatoo dwarf cichlids next or rams (both kinds) or checkerboard cichlids. as you can tell the tank is a little bare for a 55 gal (well 30gal)
well you see I got a water tester for all sorts of things but the problem is it has gH and all my calculations are in dH I didnt know if they are two completly different things or just another way of messuring hardness.
If anyone know I need to figure out what 14 dH would be in gH
