Help -Is this normal Molly behaviour,

There are 2 females to 1 male. I watched them just to make sure that things didnt get out of hand. It calmed down about 5 minute after taking that video. Many thanks for the reply. Ive seen him doing his thing with the other, and she didn't fight at all, hence my concern.

    Top 5 Algae Eaters

My 4 amano shrimp have pretty much stripped two pieces of wood in a week. Pretty impressive. Not touched the glass though (obviously)

    Catching a chinese algae eater

And, from that point on I learned not to trust anyone's advice and did my own research before I bought a new species.

    Catching a chinese algae eater

I feel for you, I got the same bad advice from a local LFS shop, they were actually labelled as 'great algea eaters' I was completely oblivious until I saw it clamped on the side of my swordtail. A quick google later and I discovered it's true character. Needless to say it was a nightmare to...

    Zebra Danio and White Clouds

Mine were the same. They will lay eggs and in my case the fry hatch out just as it's going dark. A quick Hoover up of the fry befor anyone eats them and away you go. I have fry in a breeding net that are 3 weeks old now and look like mini zebras. Dead easy. I have used liquifry 1,2, and now 3...

peppered corys - is this normal?

Panic over, they are all milling about again as normal. Perhaps they were just catching up on the day's news. Thanks again for putting me at ease. Re tank mates, there's nothing bigger than a platy in my tank, just zebra danios, neons, tiger barbs (no conflict), dwarf rasboras, and amanos.

peppered corys - is this normal?

Many thanks for the answers. Yes i will be moving in some more, I'm slowly increasing the school size, 2 per fortnight. They just looked odd all sat together, I've seen them resting before, but not in a tight group. Panic over, thanks again.

    30 gal trouble.

Activated carbon usually goes in your filter. What sort do you have? It can be bought in powdered form which you can put in a bag which then goes in the filter or in sponge shaped blocks. It's effective in removing some chemical elements from your water and it's well worth giving it a go.

    General questions from a noob...

Disagree, sand is harder to keep clean, I used to have White sand. It does look awesome when it's clean however. Bubble wands and airstones as said above are good because they disturb the water surface improving aeration. The bubbles don't add air directly though. And as above a more powerful...
