Is this a full stock for a 30g?

Well I think the reason fish stores are able to do that is partially bc the fish come and go so quickly. But you do have a lot more equipment than most hobbyists. Is it a cichlid tank?

Is this a full stock for a 30g?

Thank you for the advice but like I said in my original post, we will not be getting more glofish. This guy has had from 3-5 friends in the past but they've all passed on from old age at this point. I expect he isn't too far behind but for now he's happily playing with the rasboras and following...

    general stocking practices

Experienced aquarists, when you're planning how to stock a tank, what do you take into consideration to determine if it's fully stocked? Obviously fish have to be compatible tempermentally and with the water parameters. But how do you know how many fish are not enough, too much, or just right...

    Good stock?

I would actually say one is plenty for algae. We have one young BN in our 55g with high lighting and he keeps it extremely clean.

    30 Tall Stocking

That inch rule isn't all that accurate, though. For example, 4" glass catfish is MUCH different than a 4" BN in terms of bioload. It may be good as a jumping off point, but I would never consider stocking on that rule alone.
