I have a Hamilton halide hood ( 175w 10k 110 VHO) and I was told I could put a 250w HQI ballast and still use the single ended bulbs.. is this right? I am not sure and want to make sure before I buy a HQI balalst and put normal bulbs in it and have no change. I am upgrading to 250w but there...

ANyone ever have any of these? These have opened up during the day once or twice but I am trying to find out some more info on where to put them. They open up really nice at night but i am wondering what I need to do to keep them open during the day.
