It's a used tank and is coming with a filter but I will run both as I want to have a cycled filter for if I need to quarantine.

Is it easy to tell the sex? How do you cull? I don't think I could just scoop them out and kill them. Is there a fish that would eat them? I'd feel like at least that is the cycle of life... (I know, not really but I'd feel better about it)

Thanks, I will try this and let you know how it goes. When you say you don't see any signs of fungus, do you have any idea what the white dots might be? I have regular maracyn but I haven't used it. I will pick up one of the other mess you recommended tomorrow.
