With the used 77 gallon set up we purchased last week, it came with a Magnum 350 canister filter. If I remember correctly from other posts I've read, it's a good filter system. Can I get feedback from other Magnum canister filter users?
What about the best place to purchase replacement...
It is a glass tank however there are some scratches on it already so we're a little curious how they got there. They appear to be from some sort of pad, not single scratches like a razor blade would make.
Thanks for your advice!
Any comments or opinions will be appreciated. We got a good deal (I hope) on a 77 gallon Oceanic show tank that we are cleaning to set it up. I am pretty sure that it has been used as a saltwater tank in the past but we need it for freshwater oscars. I just read in a general internet search...
Oops! Freshwater is what we are looking for, we rescued 2 dying baby oscars and they're doing very well now! We have our hands full, but we are having a great time with them.
Thanks Conan! I need the old gravel for the "good bacteria", right?
BTW, my son has two female hooded rats, 8 months old, Tipsy and Trixie. This is our first rat experience and I absolutely love them! I never would've guessed that about a rat!
If we are upgrading tanks and need to add more rock/gravel, should be put the old stuff on top or bottom of the new stuff? Let me know your opinion and why... thanks!
We need to upgrade to a larger tank and was hoping someone might have a 55 gallon or larger tank and stand in the Oklahoma area or possibly know of someone who does.
Thanks!
