    Morning entertainment...

Yeah, I'll get a full tank shot in the morning. The rock is called Haitian Live Rock or I have heard it referred to as Lettuce Rock. It's very shelfy, and IMHO it ends up having a lot more surface area than the Pacific rocks. As for the coral, it is doing real well in it's new location. One...

    Morning entertainment...

My maroon clown has taken to a shelf on my live rock, and has officially let me know that corals are not allowed there either. ‪DSCI0401.AVI‬‏ - YouTube Here's another attempt: ‪DSCI0403.AVI‬‏ - YouTube

    pro's and cons vs freshwater/saltwater

That was my solution!! :D As for "colorful" fish, my favorite 2 fish are also my 2 least colorful, they have the best personalities for watching, IMO. They are the panda cory in FW and my lawnmower blenny in my reef.

Funny how easy it is to mess things up!!!

Three tests and 2 more pwcs yesterday, and another test this morning were all good. No spikes at all and the fish all happy, active, and feeding. The bloodfin tetras even did their traditional egg drop!

Funny how easy it is to mess things up!!!

After doing a PWC on my 20g, I put the filter pad back in, and not paying attention, I learned real quickly that I did not get it as cleaned off as I thought. How did I learn this? I put the darn pad back in backwards, and when I turned my filter back on, the tank was immediatley filled with...

    Bluegil?

I have a juvenile that I caught about a month ago. I thought he was a minnow at first, as he was no bigger than my neons. A month later, he now resides in my pond and is a solid 3 inches. They grow very fast. Lucky for me, mine is not a picky eater, and he really loves the frog pellets...

    starting a Fish-Only-Mangrove tank

After cycling I intend to continue feeding the tank with a small amount of flake and performing maintenance as needed.

    starting a Fish-Only-Mangrove tank

Yeah, I plan on doing that. Plus, I am going to wait 6-12 months to add fish, as I am going to try and spike the nitrates and phosphates to boost the mangrove initial growth.

    New Longnose Hawkfish

I have a frogspawn which they show no interest in, and a couple of ric's they looked at for a bit, but to no avail. They still claim the spot where the old nem was, so I wanted to put something there. Maybe I'll break down and get an elegance ($PRICEY$).

    starting a Fish-Only-Mangrove tank

My reef tank contains a small patch of about 7 mangroves, and all of my fish love to be in the roots of them a lot, so I was thinking of starting a Fish-Only-Mangrove tank. I know it's not a natural habitat for most fish sold out there, but the ones I have in my reef seem to enjoy them better...

    New Longnose Hawkfish

So, this will be the final fish addition to my reef, and I thought I'd show him off!! Also, does anyone know a good brand or alternative for an artificial nem? I recently lost my bta, and my maroons seem a little lost.

    Substrate ?

Yeah, I noticed that as I put it in, so I made it a dsb and added a layer of not as fine live sand.
