I had a snail find it's way into my three gallon that is currently cycling. He's been in there for a week or so now. Seems to be doing fine. But it's a pond snail and they can live in almost anything. I guess it would depend on the type of snail it is.

Only sand I've ever used if pool filter sand. I love it. I was thinking about getting blasting sand for my next tank set up but wasn't sure if I want to deal with getting it clean, lol.
