Yes, it’s just a few large white spots. It does not have little salt size grains all over, so I didn’t know if it could be ick. The white spots look fussy. I tested my water this morning, and everything was perfect: ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates in between 5 and 10.

Hi! I got this Black Angelfish 6 days ago from my LFS. It is eating great and very active, but this morning I noticed white spots on its body. Trying to figure out would it is so that I can treat it.

Hi all! I currently have 3 small Angelfish in my 45 gallon aquarium. They are the only fish in there at the moment. I got 3 thinking if 2 form a pair I could move the loner to my 37 gallon. I really love the Angels and I would enjoy more. Could I add more, or should I stick with 3?

You have a male. The fins are too long to be a baby female and his face isn’t thin and pointed like a female’s.

Yes, I do believe you have a gorgeous young male. Young males can have egg spots. I have a baby male with an egg spot.

Could you post a picture of the baby Betta? Females can make bubble nests. I have had one of my females make a small bubble nest. I have also bought a Betta labeled “female” that made a bubble nest and ended up being a male.

Yes, they can. You have to be next to the aquarium, but you can hear them. I have recorded my male doing it before.
