I'm not sure how to clean the filter foam though

Yeah I clean them every week

My 2 filters both have the same problems. Both have air pockets in the intake tube and the foams keep floating to the top and pushing the lid off. Can you please help? Thanks.

Are the levels ok?

Maybe it is the sunlight. It is in a light area of the room but no direct sunlight

My tank is 160 lts (42 Gallons) with AC 20 and AC 50 filters, Small air pump, 2 fake plants, 1 drift wood, lighting 10000k 20w super light and 20000k 20w coral blue light. I very rarely put the light on to be honest. 200w heater set at 25 degrees C Ph, 7.5, Ammonia 0, No2 0, No3 about 30 50% WC...

A few weeks ago my water was always green. After 50% WC it was ok for a day then green again. I decided to do a full clean (bleach gravel, clean glass etc). It was great for a week but now the water is green again. Also I am getting some slime in the filters :( Any ideas what my problem could be?

Thanks for the reply. I have: 1 hillstream loach 2 rapheal catfish 1 bristlenose albino pleco 2 apple snails 2 ghost shrimp 3 platys 6 mollys about 10 guppies. 65 gallon tank, AC 20 and AC 50 filters, 25w light, a few artificial plants and 2 lava rocks. The light is on for only about 2-3 hours...

I also have a bristle nose (albino) and I have never seen it eat any algae

Well I have put the fishes into another tank for now and bleaching the gravel etc to kill them all. I think they came with the plant as when I pulled it out there was about 30 on the plant and about another 30 in the gravel

How do they get in the tank?
