I got a 60x19x19 tank (no stand) for $50 Im looking for someone that sells a 61x 20 stand. Anyone have any links?

I did a water change yesterday and might have shorted on the aquaclear. now it seems the color has faded and they are stressed a little but the lateral lines on all of them are highly visible when they turn away from me. I have never noticed this before in times of stress. Anyone offer any insight?

Try packing it with a piece of filter foam (not familiar with this filter) or some other media that will slow the water down as much as possible.

I use half a coconut shell with a 3/4inch hole drilled in it. they love it. I have taken it out and they just stop trying to spawn. I bought some new kribs and they took to it too.

It will prolly be the end of the month or later before I get to put mine in there. it was nice all week and now its frost advisory tonight...

maybe the sucker fish was eating the slime coat off the fish? Ive heard of some doing that but have never seen it.

Coppersafe stays in the water for up to a month. dont add a second dose unless it gets worse not better. give it a few more days. Carbon will not remove the copper from the water thats why it says to not remove it. I use coppersafe for ich in my tanks and I have never had a problem with...

I always use coppersafe to treat ich. I dont like to mess around with my temps like that. Never had any problems getting rid of it in less than a week.

I have a fire pit that can take care of it. I thought about duckweed and I am still wondering. Im mainly wondering if I need a fountain pump at all. I figure if the water isnt oxygenated enough it wont support good breeding.

A small air pump and air stone would be helpful. If your doing daily water changes evaporation shouldn't be any problem. Get a valve that will allow you to adjust the airflow.

are you planning to bury yours too? I figure the temps would be uncontrollable without the help of the ground. I also put mine in a mostly shaded area and will place a half cover (southside) to give the guppies a shady place to go. I plan on placing water hyacinth in it to allow the babies...

Is the alge eater black or greenish? Yea starting over sounds about right.

Fluval canister filter model 204. Well worth the money I have one and love it. C02 can be put int he intake side if done right.

If you didnt clean the filter out it should have some bacteria left in it. I woudl advise getting a good canister filter and packing it with bio media of some sort. That way after everything gets back to normal you have more biological capacity.

I cycled a 29 gallon tank in this manner but I added ammonia weekly and then added all my fish at once and had no problem.
