I did a water change yesterday and might have shorted on the aquaclear. now it seems the color has faded and they are stressed a little but the lateral lines on all of them are highly visible when they turn away from me. I have never noticed this before in times of stress. Anyone offer any insight?

Coppersafe stays in the water for up to a month. dont add a second dose unless it gets worse not better. give it a few more days. Carbon will not remove the copper from the water thats why it says to not remove it. I use coppersafe for ich in my tanks and I have never had a problem with...
I always use coppersafe to treat ich. I dont like to mess around with my temps like that. Never had any problems getting rid of it in less than a week.
I have a fire pit that can take care of it. I thought about duckweed and I am still wondering. Im mainly wondering if I need a fountain pump at all. I figure if the water isnt oxygenated enough it wont support good breeding.
A small air pump and air stone would be helpful. If your doing daily water changes evaporation shouldn't be any problem. Get a valve that will allow you to adjust the airflow.
are you planning to bury yours too? I figure the temps would be uncontrollable without the help of the ground. I also put mine in a mostly shaded area and will place a half cover (southside) to give the guppies a shady place to go. I plan on placing water hyacinth in it to allow the babies...
If you didnt clean the filter out it should have some bacteria left in it. I woudl advise getting a good canister filter and packing it with bio media of some sort. That way after everything gets back to normal you have more biological capacity.
